About The Gallery

Our School
The Gallery is located in Port Orchard, Washington as well as Silverdale Washington.  It is owned and operated by Kara Morkert & Erin Brinkerhoff.  The Gallery School of Music and Dance has been a distinguished part of Kitsap Cpunty's artistic community for the past 14 years. 

At the Gallery you will receive experienced, professional and individual instruction of which will assure you the very best dance training available.  Over the past fourteen years, our students have been awarded scholarships and have gone on to study at Cornish University, University of Washington dance program, Orange County High School for the Performing Arts, Ballet Magnificat, Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines, The Edge Dance Center in Los Angeles, and Pacific Northwest Ballet summer programs.  The  Gallery was a Co Dance National Award winner and  had the honor of being one of only five dance studios across the nation to represent the United States at the "Young Tanzsommer Stars of Tomorrow" program in Austria.

The Gallery offers a complete range of classes for children and adults of all ages and abilities.  Whether you simply dance for enjoyment, exercise, or are preparing for a professional career, our superior instruction will help you meet your goals and achieve personal satisfaction.  The Gallery is open six (6) days a week with a schedule of over sixty (60) classes per week.  It is the perfect choice for dancers and musicians of all ages.

Our Curriculum
The Gallery specializes in Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Funk, Modern, Lyrical, Contemporary, Turns & Leaps, stretch & placement, Ballroom, Musical Theatre, Special Needs programs, pre-dance as well as Major Motion Dance Ensemble, a performing and competitive dance company. The Music Department offers both private and group lessons in Woodwinds, Brass, Strings, Piano, Voice and Percussion. We also offer performing experience through our professional production at the end of each season in which all interested students are invited to take part.

The Gallery is proud to offer additional workshops and instruction from professional guest instructors such as Dan Clemente & Jason Kalish of Tap Dogs, Reed Scott, a principle dancer for Ballet Omaha and Joshua Bergasse from Hairspray (both Seattle & New York production) just to name a few.

Our Guarantee
The Gallery's classes are carefully graded into a wide range of levels geared specifically to suit each pupil's age, training, and facility.  The classes are carefully monitored throughout the year so that each student can advance at his or her own pace.  Class sizes for dance are limited, allowing each student to receive individual attention at every class and maximize progress.

Our Store
The  Gallery has it's own in-house dance apparel store - "Threads of Motion".  We carry name brand dance wear:  Body Wrappers, So Danca, Capezio, Marcea, KOS-USA, Frontline, Dance Rags, Liberts, and more.  Our selection and pricing is competitive.  In addition, we will beat any discount catalog price including shipping and handling.  Just bring in the catalog and talk to us.  We also have gift items for those special occasions when you want to give your dancer the perfect gift.  Don't forget to look at our shoes, dance bags, and accessories. 

Located inside The Gallery lobby is an espresso bar and snack shop.  We offer espressos, bottled water, soup, nachos, muffins, etc. for the convenience of our dancers and their parents.
