Studio Policy

Registration Fee
There is an annual registration fee due the first day of class in September or upon registration for new students.  This is a non-refundable fee.

Tuition
Tuition is to be paid no later than the 1st of the month.  At that time, you will pay for the next month's classes.  Auto-debit from a bank account or an automatic credit card charge will be made monthly.  Incidental fees such as recital tickets, costume fees, etc... maybe paid by check.  Tuition fees are subject to change.  In the event of a withdrawal from classes we require a one (1) month notice.  There is a $25.00 NSF Fee charged.  We Do Not Refund Tuition.

Cancellations
If classes are canceled due to instructor illness, etc. classes will be rescheduled or a make-up class will be offered.

Missed Classes
If you are unable to attend a regularly scheduled dance class you may make it up in any other class at that level or one level above with instructors permission.  We do not give credit toward the next month's tuition.

Attire
Please come to class ready to dance - No Street Clothes! You should be comfortable in your dancewear both physically and emotionally.  Your instructor needs to see your bodylines, so no oversized clothing please, except for funk.  Shoes are a must:  ballet slippers, jazz, tap, & funk shoes only.  Parents: It is not to your child's benefit to purchase "shoes to grow into".  If you have any questions, please ask your instructor or one of the Administration Assistants in the Threads of Motion Dance Apparel shop located in the studio lobby.

Levels
Dancers are placed in a level that will be challenging to them but not be so hard that they are not having fun.  When they are ready for the next level, the instructor will let your dancer know.  Movement to the next level is not based on a time frame or age, but rather on an ability level.  To be able to accept more of a challenge, certain techniques are required.  Once they have mastered these techniques they are ready to move on.  Please do not ask the instructor.  This puts them in a very difficult position.

Performances
A studio wide performance is held in the spring.  This gives our students a wonderful opportunity to display a finished product reflecting all their hard work.  Performances are optional.  If you do not wish for your student to participate, please let the instructor know as soon as possible.

Costume Fees
There is a costume fee that is due in January.  All fees are to be paid in full prior to participating in the show.  Costume fees are non-refundable.  Costumes are our students' report cards.  Though they may be worn for only a short while on stage, they represent months of hard work.
